About Bran-Nu Netball Club
Our History
Bran-Nu was established in 2006 with the vision of giving netball a fresh, inclusive and dynamic presence in Birmingham and beyond. Since then, the club has continued to grow, welcoming players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We offer opportunities for everyone, from those just starting out to experienced players looking to develop and compete.
At Bran-Nu, we take pride in creating a supportive and welcoming environment where teamwork, personal development and community are at the core of everything we do. Through structured training, competitive match play and regular social activities, we help our members build confidence, stay active and reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Whether you are looking to enjoy netball in a friendly social setting or challenge yourself in a competitive environment, Bran-Nu is the perfect place to grow and enjoy the game.
Our Teams
We are proud to have five teams competing in both the West Midlands Regional League and the Walsall League. Our regional team has recently achieved back-to-back promotions and now competes in Division 1 of the West Midlands League. In the Walsall League, we have four teams: one in Division 1, two in Division 2, and one in Division 4, including two strong junior teams.
Our club welcomes players of all backgrounds and ability levels, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
Through our strong local connections, our teams regularly play friendly matches against high-level sides such as the Superleague Nova Hubs for Severn Stars and the BMet Netball Academy. These opportunities allow our players to gain valuable experience, face top competition, and often attract attention from scouts, leading to trial invitations for elite performance pathways.
Our junior teams have enjoyed particular success, with several players not only invited to trials but also selected to train and compete with their respective performance hubs.
Over 40's & Mixed Netball
At Bran-Nu Netball Club, we offer a wide range of teams to suit all ages and experience levels. In addition to our core teams, we’re proud to provide opportunities for men through our mixed netball sessions, as well as an Over 40s team for those who love the game and want to stay active alongside like-minded teammates.
Whether you're picking up a ball for the first time or returning after a break, it's never too early to start and never too late to come back. Don’t be shy—give it a go. You might just catch the netball bug too.

Here's a picture of our winning team at our first annual mixed Mens and Womens Over 40's Netball Tournament.
Such a fantastic turn out with some great performances and players from teams all over the West Midlands uniting into teams and putting their best foot or pivot forwards!
Our mixed men's netball team won their first tournament after playing back-to-back games all day. They all performed remarkably well - some were new to the sport and others had to adjust to playing with the speed and power of the men on court. We're incredibly proud of our team!
